Our Programs

Catch the Vision

The “Catch the Vision” summer workshop was created to empower under served youth by providing hands-on experience in documentary film making. Our 6 week program not only builds technical and creative skills but also fosters confidence and opens pathways to careers in television, media, broadcasting, and documentary film making. Students are taught by certified  professionals the art of storytelling, script writing, story boarding and post production editing. Students are taught to use professional cameras, lights, and audio recording equipment to simulate a real world experience. Students learn to edit using the Adobe software suite: Photoshop, Premier Pro and After Effects. Our summer program allows Inner City youth a constructive way to give voice to their life experiences, expand their creativity, showcase their gifts and provide solutions through documentary filmmaking on how to make positive changes within their respective communities.

Mental Health

The Back to Hope Foundation is dedicated to helping inner-city families navigate the challenges of mental health by using storytelling to break stigmas and connect them with vital resources. Through documentary filmmaking, we amplify voices, foster resilience, and create pathways to healing for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. By partnering with community organizations and mental health professionals, we provide education, support, and hope, ensuring that no family faces their struggles alone.

Family First

The Family First Initiative by the Back to Hope Foundation is a compassionate outreach program designed to nourish both body and spirit by feeding families in under-served communities. Understanding that no child can focus on learning with an empty stomach and no parent should have to choose between rent and a warm meal, this initiative provides weekly food boxes filled with nutritious staples, fresh produce, and family-sized portions. More than a meal, each box includes inspirational messages, simple recipes, and community resources—because feeding families is just the beginning. Through this program, the Back to Hope Foundation puts love on the table, one family at a time.
